Association of Sponsors of the Hans-Dieter-Belitz-Institute for Cereal Research

Funding

The association supports the Hans-Dieter-Belitz-Institute by means of the contributions of the members and it partly takes over the financing of the research projects. Research topics are proposed by the members of the association, discussed during the annual sessions and are worked out by the institute. On the annual sessions of the association the institute presents results of the current research projects. Additionally the institute is in permanent contact with with companies of the assiciation. In this way actual problems of individual members can quickly be handled. The contribution of each member is arranged with the chairman of the association. The basic financing of the institute (rent, operating costs) is guaranteed by the contributions of the members. The research projects are carried out as joint research of medium sized companies via the Forschungskreis der Ernährungsindustrie (FEI) and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft industrieller Forschungsvereinigungen (AIF). For financing of the projects about 10 % of the funds come from the association of the sponsors and about 90 % from the German government.
